He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University and from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Since 1989, he has led ATELIER 8000 Ltd. together with Jiří Střítecký, employing forty staff members, with its main office in České Budějovice and a branch in Prague. Since 2012, he has been leading it alone. He is a guest architect of the Slovak Chamber of Architects and lectures on architecture and regional development in Prague, České Budějovice, and other locations.
