Biography
1978-83 - studied garden architecture at RHSTL Boskoop
1984-90 - studied at TU Delft
since 1991 - co-founded the office MVRDV in Rotterdam with Jacob van Rijsem and Nathalii de Vries
During his career, he worked as an architect/urban planner for Bureau Bakker (Bleeker), D.R.O. (Amsterdam), Kuiper Compagnons (Rotterdam), UNESCO (Nairobi), DHV (Amersfoort) and in the Rotterdam office of Rema Koolhaase. He taught at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam, Cooper Union in New York, Architectural Association in London, and several other universities.
