offcity_architekti: Cultivate space

We cordially invite you to the first of this year's lecture series OFFCITY ARCHITECTS. In 2015, we decided to introduce you to several independent platforms and associations that are inspiring to us, whose main area of interest is the city, its public space, and architecture; groups of people who are the initiators and activators of events in their cities. We will first welcome the association Pěstuj prostor from Plzeň.

PĚSTUJ PROSTOR

Pěstuj prostor is one of the flagship projects of Plzeň – European Capital of Culture 2015. It was established in 2012 in response to the need to strengthen citizen participation in the development of the city of Plzeň and to better connect existing civic activities. In the autumn of 2014, the original program of Plzeň 2015, o.p.s. was transformed into the association Pěstuj prostor, z.s., which ensures – under the patronage of Plzeň 2015 – the long-term sustainability of the program.

Organized by Offcity z.s. in cooperation with Divadlo 29 as part of the OFFCITY 2015 project. This project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the statutory city of Pardubice, and the Czech Architecture Foundation.
