And even though the offer of sliding windows on the market is quite wide, buyers are often limited by the available dimensions. The current collection Paranorma, which is in the portfolio of Janošík, on the contrary offers windows of non-standard sizes, which you can move with such ease as if they were floating.

The weight of glass walls that Janošík can produce up to the size of 6 × 3 meters can reach one thousand kilograms. However, when moving them, there is no unwanted friction, and you have the impression as if they were liberated from the force of gravity. How is this possible?

The glass panels levitate above the rail due to magnetic force, so it takes the same effort to open a ton window as it does to manipulate a regular sliding window weighing 200 kilograms. Thus, the Paranorma window feels like it has a fifth of its weight.

"We want to live in light. Close to nature. The windows are expanding, stretching across entire walls. When it's nice outside, we don't want to be behind the glass. We wish for the glass walls to dissolve. We want to touch them, to slide them away with ease, to let them disappear," they think aloud at the company that has been based in Valašské Příkazy since 1926, when František Janošík started manufacturing windows and doors here. It was the captivating nature of Wallachia that inspired the current owners to focus on creating products that would co-create homes and seamlessly connect them with the landscape. The windows and doors from the current production of the company are characterized mainly by minimalist design, clean details, and frameless constructions.
