What is it like to work for Bjarke Ingels or Norman Foster? The next guest in the debate series titled Expati, where Adam Gebrian introduces Czech architects working in prestigious foreign studios, will be Veronika Martykan. She studied architecture in Liberec and gained her work experience in China and mainly in the United Kingdom. At Foster + Partners, she participated in the design of the Haramain high-speed railway connecting the main Saudi cities of Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and KAEC, as well as several large projects in Beirut. At the office of Wilkinson Eyre, she worked on the revitalization and reconstruction of the iconic Battersea Power Station in London. She is now back in Prague after fifteen years and works for Bogle Architects.
