The Architectural Institute in Prague is starting enrollment for preparatory courses for entrance exams and studies in architecture. The courses will take place from September 2010 to January 2011 directly at the school premises in the Veletržní Palace, with participation from its instructors.
Applications are accepted until the end of August.

The preparatory course lasts a total of 20 weeks and balances 3 areas that are generally part of the entrance exams for architecture schools. Each week features a continuous block (3 x 45 min. + breaks) from one subject area. Monthly, there will be 2 blocks of visual arts subjects, 1 block of mathematics and descriptive geometry, and 1–2 blocks of history and theory of architecture. Within the given area, several educators (of sub-disciplines) will present, ensuring that the preparation is as diverse and comprehensive as possible. Instruction will be conducted in Czech, and will also include walks around Prague.

Currently, there are 3 different time slots available:
Wednesday 18:00–20:30, Thursday 18:00–20:30, and Friday 15:30–18:00, which will be filled according to the order of received binding applications. Each group will have a maximum of 25 students.
The course fee (i.e., a total of 60 teaching hours) is 9,000 CZK.

We are accepting applications throughout August at jiri.simice@archip.eu; if there is capacity available, late registration during the semester is also possible. More detailed information and conditions can also be found on the school’s website:
