Announcement of the 7th Year of the Showcase of Diploma Theses organized by ČKA

The Czech Chamber of Architects is organizing an architectural "Pasta party" at the beginning of June, which will be a meeting of architects, graduates, and architecture students at the Prague waterfront on the occasion of the announcement of the 7th annual Exhibition of Diploma Works.
The event will take place on June 6, 2006, at 6:00 PM at the Nábřeží Gallery, www.nabrezi.cz.
The Nábřeží Gallery is a stone gallery in the waterfront wall on Hořejší nábřeží in Prague's Smíchov district, between the Palackého and Železniční bridges, behind the Admiral boat.
During the evening, the 7th annual Exhibition of Diploma Works will be ceremoniously announced. Graduates will be encouraged to register for the current year's event in as large a number as possible. For those interested who register directly at the event, a commemorative T-shirt with the logo of the 7th annual exhibition will be prepared. The official opening will be followed by an informal atmosphere of discussion, accompanied by music by DJ Talla and refreshments in the form of pasta and other exotic dishes.
The accompanying program for the festive announcement of the 7th annual exhibition includes two exhibitions. The exhibition of the 6th annual Exhibition of Diploma Works, which this year is the last traveling exhibition and will conclude this year’s event overall. Additionally, there will be a presentation of the exhibition of the most interesting realizations by authors recognized in previous years of the Exhibition of Diploma Works.
The Exhibition of Diploma Works has been organized by the Czech Chamber of Architects since 2000. At the exhibition of the most interesting realizations from previous years’ participants, their work since graduation will be presented on A1 panels. In total, fifteen panels of young architects showcasing their successful and in some cases their own projects will be displayed.
The annual exhibition of diploma works primarily aims to compare the level of quality of education at architectural schools and faculties of architecture in the Czech Republic. The basic criterion for evaluating the submitted works is their architectural quality, regardless of the type of the diploma work assignment.
