This year, three discussions have already taken place on the themes: Homeless People and Public Space, Commercialization of Public Space, and the Social Responsibility of Architecture.
Date: November 20, 2018
Venue: Scout Institute, Staroměstské nám. 1/4, 110 00 Old Town
The series of public discussions "The Borders of Architecture," organized by Architects Without Borders, relates to the intersection of architecture with everyday life.
The topics of the discussion will be:
1. Transformation of Public Space under the Influence of Tourism
2. The Role of the City - Influence and Regulation
3. How Tourism Could Work Without Undermining the City
What impact does tourism have on public space? How can local government limit the negative impacts of tourism on the city? This is just a sketch of the questions that will be discussed during the evening.
The discussion evening is open to both professionals and the general public. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience during the evening. Our guests will be Mgr. Kristýna Drápalová (IPR) and PhDr. Michaela Pixová (social geographer).
