Cycle of lectures offcity_architects

The lecture series offcity_architekti will introduce several prominent contemporary Czech architects.
The selection of personalities is not accidental; it focuses on the external perspective of architects from outside Pardubice who have personal experience of entering this city, and their work simultaneously represents contemporary architecture that transcends regional scales.
The presentations of architects and architectural firms should not focus solely on Pardubice projects and realizations, but should showcase the architect’s approach to public space and the urban environment.

The lectures are realized as part of the offcity 09 project, which, among other things, creates subjective layers of the map of the city of Pardubice that absorb views “from the inside” and “from the outside” of the city.

The first part of the lecture series:
April 14, 2009, at 7 PM — Ing. arch. Jaromír Walter
May 19, 2009, at 7 PM — Doc. Ing.arch. Petr Hrůša
June 9, 2009, at 7 PM — Pinkas Žalský architects

The second part of the lectures will take place in September and October 2009:
CUBOID — Ing. arch. Aleš Papp
Kuba and Pilař architects — Ing. arch. Ladislav Kuba

The lectures will be held at Divadlo 29, Anežky České, Pardubice / admission 40 CZK
