Rakovník - The new zoning plan for Rakovník could, according to Mayor Luďek Štíbr (ODS), be approved by the end of next year. The mayor wants to expedite the discussion of the document. The development of the city depends on the zoning plan. "We would like to accelerate the discussion, completion, and approval of the zoning plan as much as possible, because it is of course limiting for further activities," said Štíbr. The shape of the new zoning plan was already being prepared by the previous leadership of the city, and the first public discussion on the proposal took place last year.
The handling of submitted objections and comments is now continuing in relation to the zoning plan, and the proposal is being adjusted according to them. A public discussion of the amended version will follow, after which the councilors will decide on its approval.
According to the mayor, there is a lack of space for the construction of family houses in the city, which is why people often choose to build or purchase a house in the surrounding villages. The city has designated a large plot of land for construction in the Na Zátiší area, but engineering networks have not yet been built there, even though there is a project for them. "We would like to get this started, so that we can enable the residents of Rakovník or those who want to live here to have the opportunity to acquire a plot and build a family house themselves," the mayor added.
