Třeboň - The town of Třeboň is planning to renovate the entrance to the Aurora Spa for 100 million crowns. The project includes increasing the number of parking spaces and modifying the outdoor area and entrance spaces. The city hall has therefore announced an urban planning and architectural competition, to which applicants can apply until mid-February. This was stated to ČTK by the co-organizer of the competition, Markéta Pražanová.
"Despite partial renovations and extensions, particularly in the accommodation and treatment parts of the buildings, which have occurred in the last 15 years, the access areas of the spa have remained essentially the same as in 1975 when the building was completed," said Milan Kramárik, the manager of the Aurora Spa and Bertin Spa Třeboň.
In the early days, according to him, the spa complex was at a high architectural level. However, trends and the needs of clients have changed over time, and the current state is no longer satisfactory according to the manager. "We would need to make the exterior and interior of the spa's arrival area more attractive, primarily ensuring the functionality of the space and a friendly and smooth reception of clients," he stated.
The Bertin Spa in Třeboň and the Aurora Spa, which focus on treating musculoskeletal disorders primarily through mud baths and wraps, are owned by the town. They are among the most visited facilities of their kind in the Czech Republic. Last year, 36,500 guests arrived. Among them, 27,000 people visited the Aurora Spa.
