Prague - The office center project Bořislavka, which is to be built above the new metro station A, is of high quality in terms of architecture, but its height does not fit into the surrounding development and is oversized. During today's visit to Prague 6, Deputy Mayor Matěj Stropnický (Trojkoalice/SZ) said this. According to councilor Antonín Nechvátal (SZ), the city hall will decide in the coming weeks about modifying the zoning decision related to the construction of the center.

Several hundred local residents have opposed the project. They claim it does not respect the local villa development and will, among other things, increase traffic congestion. A petition has been signed by 1,700 people. However, the investor, the KKCG company, defends the plan. Developer representatives said today at a meeting with Deputy Stropnický that the office center will provide services lacking in the area for local residents. Among other things, there are plans for a community center.
"There is no doubt that the land is intended for building and that it will be built on. However, I consider the project in its current form to be oversized," Stropnický stated. He said that the increase of the so-called building coefficient was allowed by the municipal building department, which had entered into a contract with the developer regarding adjacent municipal lands. "The department thus devalued the municipal land. I will seek an explanation," he added.
The Bořislavka project, located at the intersection of Evropská, Liberijská, and Horoměřická streets with a view of Prague Castle, will offer 24,000 m² of office space and 10,000 m² of retail space including restaurants and cafes. According to the company, four office buildings are designed in irregular natural shapes-crystals and are incorporated into the lower part of the building with retail spaces.
KKCG, as a strategic investor, focuses long-term on oil and natural gas extraction, the industrial sector, and investments. The group holds stakes in more than 25 Czech and foreign companies, including the MND group, Sazka, OPAP, Vítkovice, travel group Fischer, Information line 1188, and others. KKCG operates in more than ten countries around the world.
