Prague - The development company KKCG Real Estate has reached an agreement with the Pro Hanspaulka Association on adjusting the project of the Bořislavka office and shopping center in Prague 6. The design of the individual buildings will be less contrasting and will blend more into the surroundings. This was announced today in a joint press release by Bořislavka Office & Shopping Centre and the Pro Hanspaulka Association. The investor has already obtained a building permit for the above-ground part of the buildings, which became legally valid in November.
The design of the office and shopping center near the Bořislavka metro station emerged from an international competition, in which the project by the Aulík Fišer architects studio was successful. The completion of the center, which will feature four crystal-shaped buildings, is preliminarily scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
The Pro Hanspaulka Association, representing local citizens and property owners around the construction site, opposed the design of the project. The result of a year-long negotiation with the center's investor is a written agreement for a partial adjustment of the project. The compromise solution regarding the height and shape of the individual buildings will be modified so that the overall appearance will be less contrasting and will better fit into the immediate surroundings. The closed agreement also includes adjustments to the avenues on the adjacent roads and newly proposed plantings in the immediate vicinity of the project.
The Bořislavka administrative center will be located above the metro station of the same name at Evropská Avenue. The long-planned construction began this April. Upon completion, the Bořislavka Center will offer 24,000 square meters of office space and 8,600 square meters of shops. The developer of the construction is KKCG Real Estate, which is responsible for commercial and residential development and facility management within the KKCG group, including construction, development, and management of buildings. The KKCG group is also active in energy, lotteries, and tourism.
