Prague - The leadership of Prague will sign an agreement with landowners necessary for the construction of the metro station D Nádraží Krč. The document will allow the transport company (DPP) to use the land for the construction of the metro, while also enabling the owners to build around the planned station. After signing the agreement, both parties will still need to resolve the exact wording and sign so-called partial contracts. This follows from the material that was approved by the Prague council today. The ownership of the land remains unchanged with the agreement. A similar agreement has already been made by the city for the planned station Nemocnice Krč.
Metro D will run from Pankrác to Písnice, and DPP plans to begin geological surveys this year. The construction of the route will cost several tens of billions of crowns.
"This agreement is a huge step because it allows us to accelerate the construction of the first part of metro D, which means the section Pankrác-Nové Dory," said Deputy Mayor Adam Scheinherr (Praha Sobě). According to the deputy, the section should be operational by 2027.
The agreement will last for ten years. During this time, all contracts and details of cooperation should be resolved. The partial contracts will specify the rights and obligations of the contracting parties. The contracts will also address the withdrawal of a lawsuit to annul the zoning decision, which private owners filed several years ago. According to Scheinherr, the owner of the Arkády Pankrác center already withdrew his lawsuit last Thursday. "I expect that in the coming months we will close a follow-up lease agreement and an agreement that will lead to the withdrawal of this second lawsuit (from the owners in Krč)," said the deputy.
Private owners want to build several buildings around the planned station. In the northern part, between the South Connector and V Podzámčí street, and along the railway line, there will be residential and administrative buildings. The hotel section will then be in the western part of the area, with a park in the central part.
Due to the acquisition of land, the previous political representation planned to create a joint venture with the Penta group. The agreement was ultimately not realized. The current city leadership does not reject cooperation with private investors; however, it does not intend to pursue the original plan.
In the first phase, the section of the metro Pankrác - Olbrachtova is to be created. Subsequently, the construction will be extended to the planned stop Nové Dvory. The route from Nové Dvory to the final stop Depo Písnice will be created last in the southern direction. In addition to the section from Pankrác to Písnice, metro D will also run from Pankrác to náměstí Míru. No decision has yet been made on the construction of this part of the route. Driverless trains will operate on the new line.
