re-VIEW, change your perspective
The POP UP MANIFESTO of the reSite festival becomes a tool for us to introduce the theme of the in/visible city into the real world, a step from theory to practice. The manifesto becomes a place that, although it remains in the center of the city, has been hidden from many eyes until now. The first measure of our proposal is the effort to attract people, the catalyst of urban life, to our project through a network that impacts significant urban intersections. The second measure is the plot of land itself, whose primary task is to draw attention to itself and thus allow people to discover it; its spatial division (tower, street space occupation) serves this purpose. Subsequently, we aim to mediate the experience of the place through classic urban forms, such as streets, squares, piazzas, and solitary structures—things that are so familiar yet often overlooked. The tower then provides us with a new perspective on the entire parcel and its surroundings. A significant element is also the neighborhood of the vacant lot, which sharply contrasts with the new content of the pop-up. MANIFESTO thus helps us to view the city through new, informed eyes, offering a different angle of perspective.
