Traditionally, at the end of the winter semester, a group of jurors met at the Liberec Faculty of Architecture to evaluate the works of students from the past six months. This year's Ještěd f kleci was already the fifteenth in a row, and the organizers decided to invite foreign jurors on this occasion. Architect Mirko Baum arrived from Germany, Roman Rutkowski from Wrocław, Poland, as well as architects Nicol Gale and Elan Fessler, and the artist Richard Loskot returned to his alma mater in the role of a juror. Throughout the day, they evaluated works from the fields of architecture, urbanism, and environmental design. The waiting for the evening's ceremonial announcement could be shortened by an exhibition of all winning projects that have received Ještěd f kleci so far. The role of the evening's moderator was taken by one of the founders of the competition, Jitka Pucandlová. After a demanding selection process, the jury agreed on seven nominations and three awarded works. The first place and the traveling statuette of Ještěd f kleci went to Jiří Gulbis for his diploma project Cultural Square in Úštěk, second place was awarded to Patrik Kovaľ for The Monastery in Zdislava, and third place went to Vojtěch Stoklasa with the design Vision of Zálabí. Among the nominated projects were Oxygen Home Krakow by Barbora Slavíčková, Peat Baths Jizerka by Libor Šenekel, three projects On the Edge by Samuel Nekola, Michaela Kohoutková, and Jana Šmejkalová, Observatory on Jizerka by Daniela Míková, Women's Prison in Velké Přílepy by Martin Málek, as well as Southern Úštěk Slopes by Martin Holba and the project Hrádek nad Nisou by Jiří Valenta, Anna Cisariková, and Světlana Devyatkina. Alongside the jurors, the public also evaluated the works during the evening. The most green leaves and thus first place went to atelier Jana Stolína PROSTOR S. The Ještěd f kleci competition took place under the patronage of x-fatul, an alumni and friends association, and with financial support from companies Schüco, BAUplus, and Graphisoft Archicad. Prize donations were provided by Mamacoffee, Papelote, and Master&Master.
