In December 2022, the results of the academic competition for the GoRo (Golden Roubík) award were announced for the twelfth time at the ARCHIP School of Architecture. This award honors ARCHIP co-founder Martin Roubík (1949-2008), and this time it was awarded four times, always to the best project from each studio. Projects were evaluated by external critics together with studio leaders. The theme of the studio assignments is BRIDGING GAPS, TO MAKE THE MOST OF BRIDGING – A CONNECTING SPACE BETWEEN, to which each studio found its own approach and narrower assignments. Students from FA VUT in Brno and FUA TUL in Liberec also worked on the same theme, along with Michal Palaščák, Vítězslav Nový, and Radek Kolařík. In studio AD1 (first-semester students) led by Regina Loukotová and Klára Doleželová, the project for the new use of the Nuselský Bridge by students Fabiana Robaldo and Nariman Mammadov“Life Among Buildings” won. The winner of the studio of Jan Schindler and Elan Fessler is Yu Sai You with the project connecting residential and museum objects in the center of Letná “The Lines”. In the studio of Shoty Tsikoliyi and Ondřej Janků, students Maria Dimitrova and Mara Rudescu stood out with their project “XP5”, which addresses various types of spaces within a multifunctional project on the Vltava River. And in the studio of Jaroslav Wertig and Jakub Kopecký, the project for a new terminal at the main train station in Prague “New Terminal” by Philipp Charfreitaga won. Congratulations to the winners.
