At the 20th anniversary celebrations of Rigips on September 21, 2011, a new world record was published in the Guinness Book of Records. At the Rigips plant, the largest drywall panel measuring 12.050 m in length and 1,250 mm in width was produced not only in the Czech Republic but also in the world. The record was officially recorded in the Czech records database and also received a Guinness World Records certificate for the largest drywall panel in the world.
The record panel was auctioned off at the event, and the proceeds were donated to the patron of the collection, the singer Aneta Langerová.
The production of the giant drywall board at the plant in Horní Počaply was carried out on August 31, 2011, on an automated line using traditional machinery technology. The team of workers adjusted some control processes so that the board, with a width of 1,250 mm and a thickness of 12.5 mm, could be produced at maximum size.

The plaster mixture flowed onto high-strength cardboard used for standard drywall boards, was covered with the back side of the paper, and then pressed into the desired thickness on a long production belt. During production, the board was also marked with the product type, production location, and time. The seemingly endless sheet of board was then cut to an incredible length of 12.050 m. The record-length board was then automatically moved to the dryer, where excess water was evaporated. The production took less than an hour.

After drying, the board was transferred to a platform where its actual length could be measured under the supervision of commissioners from the Pelhřimov Agency Dobrý den.

The first Czech record in drywall production was thus officially confirmed and recorded in the Czech record database.

The giant board was then carried by 17 men and could be cut into 120 pieces for auction and subsequent sale.

The attempt for a world record was submitted for entry into the Guinness Book of Records and was successful.
Two days ago, a certificate arrived confirming that Rigips set a new world record by producing the largest drywall board in the world.

The largest board in the world did not just end up as a trophy for the company, but also helped a good cause.
The first and largest part of the board was auctioned off during the gala evening, and the other pieces were sold to guests. A check in the amount of 39,306 CZK was handed over to the patron of the collection, singer Aneta Langerová.
The Světluška (Firefly) collection is a long-term project of the Czech Radio Foundation based on the solidarity and goodwill of people who have decided to give the visually impaired a bit of light. Světluška helps children and adults with severe visual impairments.

By combining the effort, enthusiasm, and patience of the plant workers to produce a unique product, pushing the boundaries of possibilities in production, and thanks to the willingness of people to participate in charity at the event, a unique atmosphere of a night full of records was created.
