A calm stop in the embrace of art and craftsmanship amidst the urban hustle, where modernity intertwines with wild natural elements. The house near Brno is surrounded by a vast garden dominated by a natural swimming biotope alongside wild vegetation. "The house is situated on a plot sloping to the south and naturally responds to this morphology. It has a floor plan in the shape of the letter C to protect privacy and enhance intimacy," introduces Ing. arch. Zdeněk Fránek from Fránek Architects, the author of the house design, which he and his colleagues skillfully addressed, including the building authority's requirement for a mandatory gabled roof. Its integration into the highest roof is so unobtrusive that it is barely noticeable, and it is precisely these details that allow for an uninterrupted visual of the modern design house.

From the very first opening of the entrance doors, you are seized by the feeling that the garden was just a prelude. The symphony of experiences offers not only a comfortably designed kitchen but also a generously spacious living area and an adjoining wellness zone. Everything is complemented by design elements and unique artworks. The living area is freely connected to the terrace through large window surfaces, further enhancing the impression that you spend all your time at home outside in nature.

In every inch of the house, the personality of its investor is literally felt, which was the main vision that the architects had to adhere to. "The owner is a great lover of art and emphasized the artistic impression of the entire 'living museum.' It was excellent that we had complete freedom in the selection process, which allowed us to harmonize everything with a sense for detail," comments architect Fránek. The greatest wow factor in the interior is provided by ash veneer from a single giant log, which weaves through the entire house. Its massive and veneered trace flows through large-format wall tiles, doors, and designer furniture. As Ing. arch. Zdeněk Fránek states: "The entire building has actually already accounted for the active use of art, which is why it is allocated a lot of space. It is an experiential house."

The overall compact impression is not disturbed even by the design handles MAXIMAL from the Czech manufacturer M&T. "I use handles MAXIMAL and MINIMAL from the Czech family company M&T almost everywhere. When I like something, I repeat it. I appreciate that it is a comprehensive collection of hardware, including products not only for doors but also for windows," says architect Fránek. The MAXIMAL hardware includes not only door and window handles but also fittings for HS portals, bottom rosettes with locks, and even door stops. The individual elements are visually harmonized and give the interior a cohesive look. Additionally, the MAXIMAL handle can bear a filling on its front surface made from various materials, allowing for either a match with the decor of the door and window elements or, conversely, an impressive contrast that makes the handles stand out visually.
