Jaro with Herzog & de Meuron 2021 - lecture series at FA VUT

Last year, the Basel architect duo Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron celebrated their seventieth birthdays. Over their more than forty-year professional career, the number of their projects has exceeded five hundred. Many of their realizations represented a breakthrough not only in Swiss architecture at the time. After previous ten cycles focused on architectural creation in a specific country, this spring we will focus on only one office and ideally one border city. In the second hour of each lecture, we will briefly introduce another representative of the contemporary Swiss architectural scene. The upcoming autumn 2021 will again be dedicated to one country, namely Italy.
Lectures by Petr Šmídek will be held at the Brno FA VUT for all those interested in contemporary architecture every Tuesday in room A118 from 5:00 PM. Online transmission will be provided via the Microsoft Teams communication platform.
