After four previous blocks (Switzerland, Japan, the Pyrenees, and Scandinavia), this spring we will look into the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Through the father of the Weimar Bauhaus, we will reach Berlage's office, where Koolhaas's grandfather worked, to finally introduce both generations of Rem's children.
Part of the lecture series will also include a preparatory seminar for the April expedition to the Netherlands (April 19 - 25, 2016) with the main goal of attending the opening of the 7th edition of the international architecture biennale in Rotterdam.
