On Wednesday April 24, 2019, at 6:00 PM, there will be a lecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU, on the topic What is architecture?, featuring the Prague studio SPORADICAL, which consists of Aleš Kubalík, Josef Kocián, Jakub Našinec, and Veronika Sávová. The lecture will take place in the D studio of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU, Thákurova 7 in Prague, and is open to students and the public. The event is supported by the Association AS Plus & Architecture and Construction of FSv CTU. A discussion is planned after the lecture. The architectural studio SPORADICAL has been formed since 2003 by the collective of the aforementioned architects, supplemented by verified collaborators and specialists depending on the character of the project. They focus on conceptual architecture and urbanism. They complement rationally thought-out concepts with a significant artistic aspect. They work on projects of various scales and typologies, always striving for intense communication and collaboration with the investor. Their work has received several professional awards, including the Grand Prix of Architects in 2007, the Mayor of Prague 6 Award in 2009, and the Think Arch Award in 2014.
