As part of the lecture series 'Architect in Practice' aimed at second-year MSP students, a lecture by Michal Rosa, co-founder of the Trutnov studio Rosa-Architekt, will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 5:00 PM in room A118 at the Faculty of Architecture of VUT in Brno, Poříčí 5. The lecture is open to the general public.

Michal Rosa (*1975 Trutnov) after graduating from Trutnov Gymnasium (1994) attended the Faculty of Architecture of the Brno University of Technology, where he graduated in 2001. In the following four years, he gained experience at the Trutnov studio ATIP and has been running his own architectural practice since 2005.

Rosa-Architekt focuses on individual family houses, and the firm claims that they are beautiful, functional, and technically flawless. It also designs public and industrial buildings. The firm's largest project was the successful reconstruction of the city cinema Jitřenka in Semily. He is the author of the observation tower on Hnědý vrch in Pec pod Sněžkou. He developed the proposal for the reconstruction of the Trutnov cinema. In addition to the Rosa couple, the studio also includes Petr Košťál, Milan Jansa, and Vojtěch Novotný.
