As part of the lecture series 'Architect in Practice' intended for 2nd year MSP students, on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at 5:00 PM , a lecture by Martin Rusina and Martin Frei, who are co-founders of Rusina Frei architects, will take place in room A211 at the Faculty of Architecture of the Brno University of Technology, Poříčí 5.
Ing. arch. MgA. Martin Rusina , Ph.D. graduated in 2002 with a degree in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture at Czech Technical University in Prague and a year later from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In 1997, he completed an internship at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Between 1999 and 2008, he worked at the Prague offices of DUM architekti and Chalupa architekti. From 2008 to 2012, he collaborated as an independent architect with Marcela Steinbachová. Since 2013, he has shared an office with Martin Frei. In 2015, he completed his doctoral studies at AVU Prague.
Ing. arch. Martin Frei graduated in 2007 with a degree in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology. During his studies, he worked at the Brno office of P.A.W. In 2004, he completed an internship at EAVT in Marne-la-Vallée in Paris, where he began working at the SOA architectes studio the same year. In 2010, he moved to Kyoto, Japan, where he worked for F.O.B. Architects. From 2011, he worked in Prague as an independent architect until 2013, when he founded a joint office with Martin Rusina.
