Rakovník - Rakovník will prepare land use studies for several areas where construction is planned. The city will therefore verify what extent and form of development is suitable for these locations. The zoning plan addresses construction in general, while the studies go into detail, addressing issues such as land division and traffic situations. This was stated by the mayor of Rakovník, Luděk Štíbr, at a press conference.
The Rakovník councilors approved the zoning plan this January, which designates six areas where changes are only possible provided that a land use study is developed. The official deadline for their completion and coming into effect is six years, and the city council has decided that they will be done gradually. This year for the Zátiší area and the Bendovka area. The city council has already selected the contractor. "I expect that we could have the studies completed by the end of the year," the mayor stated. The studies concern both municipal and private land.
Another option for the city to influence the nature of construction is the so-called regulatory plan, which can specify things like the number of floors or types of buildings. The city will have it developed, for example, for the area Nad Vysokou bránou near the historic center, where the city council does not want, for instance, the construction of department stores and similar establishments.
