The author of the modern glazed building (sic!) is architect Milan Košař
Přelouč - As soon as it warms up more, Přelouč in Pardubice will begin construction of a new town hall. The construction company will first demolish the old garages on the site, and then archaeologists will explore the area before the actual construction of a new building for 85 officials begins. Ivan Moravec, the deputy mayor, said this today to ČTK. "Demolition will start when the weather is favorable. By announcing a public competition, we have reduced costs from 100 million to 83 million crowns," said the deputy mayor. The new town hall will be built in two years near the square. It was designed by architect Milan Košař as a modern glazed administrative building. According to the deputy mayor, the town needs the town hall. "Half of the officials live in a rented building. We will all move to one place. In the vacated spaces, we will establish a museum. We have a lot of collections, but there is nowhere to exhibit them," said Moravec. The town hall will pay for the entire construction from its budget. Since the construction work will last two years, the town can spread the expenses. Part of the money was obtained from the sale of the former military area and is also waiting for overdue European grants for another investment project. "We also wanted to sell the municipal forests, but we probably won't have to do it because we expected a higher price. However, we will have to limit other investment projects. The town hall has been planned for a long time and it must be built one day," said the deputy mayor.
