Prague - The capital city will conclude an agreement with the company B+3 Real, based on which it will acquire the remaining land on Vidoule Hill in Prague 5 in exchange for parcels in Stodůlky, Střížkov, and Vysočany. The councilors will decide on this today. According to councilor Jan Chabr (TOP 09), the city will gain a payment of 105 million crowns from the transaction. In the past, the municipality purchased a large portion of the land on the hill, and in the future, a recreational area is set to be established there.

Vidoule Table Mountain is the dominant feature of the Košíře-Motol Nature Park, located between Košíře and Butovice. According to Chabr, the transaction is advantageous for the city in terms of price and exchange conditions. He noted that the company will acquire parcels from the municipality that are already surrounded by its own land and are therefore not very useful for the city. Conversely, the city will be able to consolidate the area on the table mountain, where Prague 5 wants to create a facility that could include, for example, a running and skating track, meadows for kite flying, or natural sports areas.

"At the same time, we are ending a prolonged court dispute," added the councilor. This dispute, according to the explanatory report of the approved resolution, concerns land in Vysočany, which the city is in litigation with the company Citronelle over. The city wants to settle a debt of more than five million crowns for unauthorized use of the parcels. Based on the approved agreement, B+3 Real will take over and settle this debt.

In the past, the municipality purchased the remaining lands on Vidoule in several waves. Most recently, this March, the councilors voted to buy for 56.4 million crowns; last year, the city bought part of the parcels for 23 million, and the year before for about 115.5 million crowns.

According to a study commissioned by Prague 5, in the nature reserve, where developers previously sought to build, in addition to outdoor sports facilities, new paths and furnishings are to be created. Tree planting is planned, and the old anti-aircraft bunkers located on the hill are to be utilized. Chabr stated earlier that the city will still negotiate with the Prague 5 city hall regarding which lands the municipality will transfer to its management and which it will retain.
