The black-built villa in Pardubice will not be demolished

Pardubice - The process leading to the demolition of the illegally built villa of Pardubice entrepreneur Miloš Holeček has been halted. The building authority today suspended the execution proceedings that were initiated on October 9. This was reported to ČTK by the spokesperson of the magistrate, Vendula Fižová.
    "A definitive decision on whether Mr. Holeček's house in the Na Špici park will remain or not is therefore postponed by at least a year and a half. However, the Holeček couple is still not allowed to use the house for living during that time," said Fižová.
    The house stands without a building permit on a plot of land in the Na Ležánkách area near the confluence of the Elbe and Chrudimka rivers, which is not entirely designated for construction and is listed as recreational greenery. The Supreme Administrative Court has already decided on the demolition of the villa, and the entrepreneur's deadline to remove the building expired at the end of September. If the builder fails to comply with the order, the city must carry out the demolition by law. A project including a budget must be prepared for the demolition work. The costs are to be borne by the owner of the villa and could theoretically reach up to ten million crowns, which is roughly the price of the house. If he refuses to pay them, the town hall would collect them from him.
    The reason for suspending the process of removing the building is the fact that the city council approved the process of making changes to the zoning plan in June. This should change the plot into a plot suitable for construction. Holeček could then retroactively apply for a building permit. Although the building authority was aware of the council's decision, it nevertheless had to initiate the execution process first according to the law before it could suspend it.
