Gallery PLATO – a former Ostrava slaughterhouse and the only project from the Czech Republic that made it to the top five finalists of the prestigious European Mies van der Rohe Architecture Award. How did the adaptation of the industrial building into a contemporary art gallery take place? Robert Konieczny from the KWK Promes studio, the author of the transformation, will talk about the journey from design to final solution. Come listen to the second lecture in the accompanying program of the exhibition Best European Architecture. The lecture will be simultaneously interpreted from Polish to Czech. Seating is not numbered. If an audience member with a valid ticket does not occupy their seat no later than 5 minutes before the scheduled start of the event, their right to that seat will be relinquished to visitors without reservations.
