Landscape Festival Plzeň 2017 - opening

On Friday, May 19, 2017, the opening of the Plzeň 2017 Landscape Festival will take place in Plzeň's Republic Square. The fifth year of the festival focused on landscape and public space will kick off with the happening Moving Forest by the Dutch studio NL Architects, along with a concert by the band Moodshake and a dance performance by the Plzeň group Afresh Dance Community. Starting at 8 PM, the program will continue at the Plzeň Brewery with a concert by the bands Priessnitz and Munroe! The Opening will be followed on Saturday, May 20, starting at 10 AM with Greening the City, a golf tournament within the site-specific installation by NL Architects at the parking lot of the former KD on the English embankment. The festival will last until September 30, 2017, and is organized by the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery in collaboration with the Statutory City of Plzeň, the Department of Concept and Development of the City of Plzeň, and DEPO2015 as a co-organizer of the project.
