Landscape festival Prague 2018 - open call

Landscape festival focused on the landscape, city, and public space announces an open call for projects that will temporarily revitalize specific locations as part of the upcoming 6th edition. The festival will present Prague in new environmental contexts, with the main themes of the call being the reuse and redefinition of the significance of specific places in Prague 3 and Prague 8.

The open call is intended for: all creators working in the fields of: revitalization of public space, urbanism, architecture, landscape architecture, art and design in public space and landscape, environmental art, etc. The application can also be a collective work of several creators.

We are interested in: short-term interventions, thematic and performative interpretations of the area, minor additions to the urban structure, site-specific installations, temporary architecture, and more permanent landscape interventions, humanization of the given locations, utilization of the access points to the historical Vítkov as a symbolic location in Prague, which we will pay significant attention to in this year’s edition.

3. gap opposite Forum Karlín / illusion of access to Vítkov
4. access to Vítkov from Na Špitálsku street
5. green wedge behind the Ponec theater
6. stairs in the courtyard behind the viaduct
7. areas around the access to the bike path
8. Tachovské náměstí
9. natural amphitheater while descending from Vítkov
10. bridge while descending from Vítkov to Žižkov
11. Lukášova street / furniture
12. access to the tunnel
13. Bazilejské náměstí

Submitted applications must include:
- project annotation (max. 1 A4)
- realistic anticipated budget for the intervention – up to 50,000 CZK including design and implementation
- visualization or sketch of the project
- list of materials used and technologies employed

Projects will be evaluated by a professional artistic committee.
The organizers of the open call and the festival are the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery and the Architectura association, z.s.

Deadlines:
Application deadline: April 15, 2018
Announcement of winning projects: April 20, 2018
Implementation of interventions: by June 15, 2018
