On Monday, January 13, the Year of Adolf Loos 2020 was officially announced at the Study and Documentation Center Norbertov in Prague–Střešovice. The aim of this initiative, which originated at the Museum of the Capital City of Prague and the National Heritage Institute, is to remind the Czech and European public of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the world-renowned architect Adolf Loos (*December 10, 1870 in Brno).
The project seeks to highlight the beauty and thoughtfulness of the preserved Loos buildings and interiors in Bohemia and Moravia and also to draw public interest to his endangered or yet unappreciated structures, including unrealized projects.
