The non-profit organization Za Opavu is pleased to announce that nominations have been declared for the awarding of the Opava Prize J. M. Olbrich for reconstruction carried out in the years 2010-2011. The organization Za Opavu received a total of 21 proposals for the awarding of the Opava Prize J. M. Olbrich for quality architectural reconstruction, which were executed in the Opava region in the years 2010 - 2011. From these submitted proposals, a total of 17 realizations have been nominated for the J. M. Olbrich Prize.

Interested parties can view the nominated buildings from January 25 to February 24, 2012, at the exhibition taking place at the CELLA Gallery (Matiční 4, Opava), where they also have the opportunity to participate in a survey voting for the best reconstruction according to visitors.
In parallel with this voting, the public can also vote through an online poll on the Za Opavu website (www.zaopavu.cz), where further details about the individual nominated buildings are also published in the article.

The results and evaluations will be known no later than February 22, 2012. In the event that the jury decides to award a prize or honorary recognition to a nominated building, this will be done on the last day of the exhibition at the CELLA Gallery on February 24, 2012.

For this year's edition, the following members have been appointed to the expert jury:
Ing. arch. Milena Vitoulová, member of the board of the Czech Chamber of Architects
Mgr. Martin Strakoš, art historian and professional worker in monument care
Ing. arch. MgA. Osamu Okamura, architect and editor-in-chief of the architecture magazine ERA 21
Prof. akad. soch. Jan Ambrůz, head of the sculpture studio at FaVU VUT in Brno
Dr. Martin Klimeš, art critic, curator of the House of Art in Opava,
MgA. Tomáš Skalík, sculptor and restorer
Mgr. Dalibor Halátek, art historian
