This year, the ZaOpavu association is also announcing an architectural competition for the best new building in the Opava region completed in 2019 and 2020. This is already the 14th edition of this competition, alternating nominations for renovations and new buildings. Two years ago, the Community House in Píšť won among new buildings; who will it be this year? The winner will be decided by a panel of experts, but the public will also be able to vote, with all nominations presented on the website: www.zaopavu.cz (in September) and also at the exhibition during Architecture Days in Opava, where the awards selected by the expert panel and the public will be presented at the vernissage on October 1st, with voting taking place throughout September via a poll on the website.
Nominations for the J. M. Olbrich Award for new buildings completed in 2019 and 2020 can be submitted by anyone until the end of May via email: spolekzaopavu@gmail.com or by contacting the association on Facebook: zaopavu.
