Prague – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a selection procedure for a contractor to develop a conceptual proposal for the Czech participation at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The exhibition will take place between April and October 2025, with its main theme being "designing the society of the future for our lives." The Ministry informed ČTK about the selection procedure today.
The ministry will provide the winner with the necessary conditions, including financial ones. In accordance with a recent government resolution, the ministry will submit a proposal along with the budget proposal for the Czech participation to the government by the end of May. Applicants may submit their applications for the selection procedure until April 14. Those who meet the criteria will subsequently be invited for an interview before a committee.
In evaluating the concept, aspects such as the innovativeness of the Czech pavilion's design, the structuring of the budget proposal, the level and form of involvement of Czech companies, the coherence of the concept, and its feasibility in terms of the timeline will be assessed, as well as the alignment of the concept with the thematic focus of the exhibition or the proposal for the accompanying program for the Czech participation.
Applicants are expected to have experience in implementing international projects and fundraising, at least three years of experience in leading a team, strategic and analytical thinking abilities, a results-oriented approach; or knowledge of online platforms.
On Thursday, the current Expo 2020 exhibition, being held in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, will conclude. The Czech Republic is presenting itself as a country of nature, science, and innovations. The main theme of the Czech exhibit is the Solar Air Water Earth Resource (S.A.W.E.R.) system, which uses solar energy to produce water from the air to irrigate the garden around the Czech pavilion.
