Atelier Compass was founded in 2004 by Matej Grébert and Juraj Benetin. Since its inception, they have created a very complex portfolio of projects ranging from urbanism and administration to interiors, but their main specialization is residential projects. In just the last five years, they have designed nearly three thousand apartments, primarily in Bratislava. Among their largest projects are the residential project Slnečnice, which they have been working on for nearly 10 years, the recent renovation of the apartment building at Miletičova Street No. 5 in Bratislava, the residential project Nový Ružinov, and the planned Ahoj Park on Sliačska Street in Bratislava. Under the direction of the atelier, this year the renovation of the old industrial hall of VÚZ on Sliačska Street into loft office spaces, commercial operations, warehouses, and craft workshops was also carried out.
