The Italian manufacturer of office chairs and seating, MOVING, has just introduced a new collection of luxurious seating furniture featuring the premier use of the patented Synchrotek mechanism. This was developed after several years of intensive research into the effects of proper seating on the body and represents the current pinnacle in the field of office furniture designed for intensive use.

At the heart of the exclusive collection of office chairs from MOVING is the Synchrotek mechanism. Thanks to this mechanism, the chair continuously adapts to the seated individual and accurately and gently mimics their movements. After the initial adjustment of the chair, the mechanism is capable of ensuring comfortable seating for anyone.
Chairs equipped with the Synchrotek mechanism allow for easy adjustment of the seat resistance, which adapts more or less to the user's movements depending on the selected stiffness. Four additional control levers on the chair adjust the height, depth, and tilt of the seat and the locking of the backrest.

Three years of development of the Synchrotek mechanism

For the development of the Synchrotek mechanism, MOVING established close cooperation with prominent Italian cardiologist Ennio De Dominicis, who focused on preventing circulatory system disorders through proper and healthy seating. The Italian Centre for Research, Development, and Laboratory Testing of Wood and Furniture also significantly contributed to the research.
The collaborative research and development of the chairs took place over three years in laboratory conditions using xSensor technology, which accurately analyzes the distribution of weight and pressure of the seated individual on the chair. All chairs from the MOVING collection underwent testing, and the findings were reflected in both the structural and design solutions. In practice, during testing, it was demonstrated that the position of the chair with the Synchrotek mechanism continuously corresponds to the correct position of the seated individual and the pressure distribution is completely homogeneous.
