The new collection of mineral SPC flooring Arbiton Woodric Eir is a perfect harmony for our senses of sight and touch thanks to synchrostructure technology. You can not only see the knots or wood grain on the floor, but you can also feel it in that very spot. This synchronization between what you see and the actual texture of the surface is not common in 'artificial' flooring with wooden designs. The maximum authenticity of the 12 oak designs in the Arbiton Woodric Eir mineral flooring collection is further enhanced by the lower repeatability of planks (each decor is made in 10 unique planks compared to the usual 6) and the matte finish.
While wooden floors "grew" like trees, so each plank represents a unique original, in all other 'industrially' manufactured flooring with wooden decor (vinyls, laminates, SPC...), the natural impression of the floor is influenced by the degree of repeatability of the individual planks. The wooden design is created by a decorative surface film on the plank, simply put, it is printed on the film. And the frequency of these different designs of planks determines how credible the floor appears as wooden. Usually, the design repeats every sixth plank, which has the same elements - knots, cracks, wood grain. In the new collection of mineral flooring Arbiton Woodric Eir, however, the repeatability is significantly lower, within one decor there are as many as 10 unique planks with more than 40 different elements, such as knots, cracks, wood grain, etc. Even for the discerning eye, the realism and credibility of the wooden floor area is truly high. "The lower repetition every ten planks is important. If the planks have more pronounced features, such as knots, color changes, cracks, then with lower repetition, one does not notice them as much and the floor does not appear artificial but natural. More than 40 unique elements also increase the credibility of the wooden decor in the area. In simpler products, the planks look identical, lacking creativity," compares Aleš Viktorin, regional sales manager of Kratochvíl parket profi, which imports the new collection of SPC flooring Arbiton Woodric to us.
The visual naturalness of the floor is also enhanced by the aforementioned synchrostructure technology, which is also not standard. "The EIR technology - embossed in register - means that what we see on the decorative film, the distinct wood grain, the imitation of brushing, is also realistically transferred to the surface of the plank. So if I see a knot, then when I run my hand over it, I can feel it in that very spot; the plasticity in that area corresponds with the decor on the flooring. This is not standard; some manufacturers do not respect this in their flooring, having one universal surface finish, some engraving on the plank surface, regardless of whether it is a clean decor or rustic," explains Aleš Viktorin, highlighting how the new collection of mineral flooring Arbiton Woodric Eir is a class above.
The overall impression of credibility is further supported by the very matte, natural appearance of the decor, without reflections. And also the execution of grooves, with the beveled edges on both the short and long sides of the plank. The beveled edges in the joint are usually treated with a solid universal color that matches the decor, like beige. "This time, the decor extends into the joint edge as well, so the plank genuinely looks like wood; it is a more natural, credible finish," praises A. Viktorin from KPP.
SPC flooring Arbiton Woodric Eir allows gluing for the first time
The latest innovation in a relatively calm collection, with predominately very natural light oak designs, is the option for full-surface gluing. Until now, rigid SPC flooring, whose core is made from a mixture of crushed stone – minerals, were exclusively laid on a lock. The latest innovation among floor coverings, the more environmentally friendly successor to popular vinyls, can now also handle gluing, thanks to the new collection SPC Arbiton Woodric Eir. Thus, SPC flooring will now replace its predecessor, vinyl, in this regard as well. In contrast to vinyls, SPC flooring has the added value of being environmentally friendly, as they are 100% recyclable. Floor coverings SPC (from the English Stone Polymer Composite), also referred to as SPC rigid, are made from a mixture of crushed stone – minerals. The stone gives these coverings strength and flexibility, while the polymers ensure elasticity. No plasticizers or phthalates or other harmful substances are used in the production. Therefore, SPC floors are completely health-safe and also 100% recyclable. What other advantages does this type of flooring offer? A floor with a mineral core is highly durable, resistant to point load and overall wear. "Compared to vinyl floors, it also has greater dimensional stability; yet it is soft (compared to, for example, laminate floors), feels warm to the touch, is flexible, absorbs impacts, etc.," adds Aleš Viktorin from KPP.
The new collection of mineral flooring Arbiton Woodric Eir is also suitable for commercial spaces, with increased protection against scratching provided by the Titanium Nano Layer protective layer.
