In large spaces, the requirement for partial separation of two areas using all-glass partitions is often addressed. Glass is not only a timeless material that suits any interior style, but it also elegantly separates rooms while of course leaving a visual connection between them.

The all-glass partition system from J.A.P. offers a total of ten standardized solutions for easier selection with the investor, which are most commonly used in practice. "All-glass walls can be in the form of fixed partitions without a passage, or glass walls with rotating, sliding, or hinged doors, available in single-leaf and double-leaf designs. Of course, fixed elements - upper and side skylights - can also be part of the entire assembly," says Petr Paksi, sales director of J.A.P., which specializes in the production of all-glass interior elements.
Glass as a Safe Material
The safety of the glass used in all-glass interior partitions is based on its tempered design. "All-glass walls are made of glass that is created through a tempering process. This involves heating the glass to a temperature above 600°C and then rapidly cooling it. Due to the newly acquired strength properties, this treated glass falls into the category of safety glass," explains Petr Paksi from J.A.P., adding: "After this process, the glass cannot be mechanically processed, so precise measurements of the space are essential." The thickness of the walls is 8, 10, or 12 mm depending on the size of the glass surface.

Types of Glass
The most commonly used glass is clear float glass, which can be decorated using sandblasting. "Sandblasted glass is created using a method that blasts glass with a stream of special sand, which creates microscopic indentations in the glass," explains Petr Paksi from J.A.P. Additionally, it is possible to use one-sided etched satinato glass, tinted planibel glass, or Graphosklo for all-glass walls.

Glass walls can be utilized not only in homes but also in administrative buildings, offices, or shopping centers.
