A gust of extravagance in the historical center of Prague.

Like a pearl, the Design Hotel Josef stands out in the surrounding historical architecture on the edge of the Jewish Quarter in Old Town, Prague, completely designed down to the smallest detail by Eva Jiřičná. The exceptional atmosphere of the interiors is accentuated by the switching elements of the Arsys series from Hager.

The story of Hotel Josef began just a few years after the Velvet Revolution, when Rudolf and Christian Ploberger, two brothers originally from Austria, fell in love with the beauty and atmosphere of Old Town during their visit to Prague. In the 1990s, they opened their first reconstructed hotel Maxilian here, and a few years later, the plan to build Hotel Josef began to take shape. Although it stands in the very center of Prague, Hotel Josef was not built in any of the reconstructed historical buildings but constructed as a new building!

For collaboration on the project, the Ploberger brothers were able to attract a name among the most renowned: the world-famous architect Eva Jiřičná. Despite her significant time commitments and long-term stay in England, Eva Jiřičná took on the complete design of the hotel, from the building itself to the complete interiors with a glass accent, down to the finest details like butterflies in the lobby and restaurant.

The hotel interiors featured Hager's switching and control elements from the Arsys series. The choice fell on a metallic surface of the switches in a stainless steel color. The Arsys switches and sockets, with their slightly avant-garde elegance, perfectly fit into the concept of the entire hotel and harmonize beautifully with the glass, which is a frequent element in Eva Jiřičná's interiors. The Arsys switches stand out primarily due to their elegant appearance, classic shape, and captivating timeless colors. They help to create an unconventional atmosphere in the interiors of various styles.
