About Anders Nørgaard Graduate of the School of Architecture in Aarhus, Denmark, Anders Nørgaard (full name Anders Nørgaard Pedersen) is a well-known creator in the Danish design scene. In addition to BoConcept, he creates furniture for brands such as Rolf Benz, Getama, Kinnarps, Fredericia Furniture, Holmegaard, Kitchen And More, and Casus. Anders has his own design studio, Nørgaard Design, which focuses not only on product design but also on graphic design. Anders's work clearly reflects the main features of Scandinavian design since the 1950s, specifically that of Arne Jacobsen, whose shapes he translates into a contemporary context. Anders enjoys clean organic shapes that can easily become solos in space. Danish magazine Bo Bedre has named Anders Nørgaard one of the five best Danish designers. Recently, he has focused on fireplace design for the Danish company Jydepejsen. He designed a series of Cubic fireplaces for them, which appear to be freestanding and are made in a variety of shapes and sizes (block, cylinder...) to fit different types of rooms. The surface of the fireplace is always treated so that it does not get hot, allowing various favorite items such as pictures or photos to be placed on it. For the BoConcept brand, Anders Nørgaard designed the iconic One chair, which was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in 2008 and the Good Design Award from the Chicago Museum of Architecture and Design and the Metropolitan Arts Press publishing house. He is also the author of many BoConcept sofas, such as Como, Carmo, Morini, or Lugo, and unique armchairs. More about Anders Nørgaard's work can be found at www.boconcept.cz and www.anpdesign.dk
