The second weekend of September (9–10 September 2017) cordially invites you to visit a unique Prague location by the Nusle Steps, where the final part of the program dedicated to architecture, landscape in the city, and sustainability will take place as part of the festival EnviroCity.
The multi-genre festival aims to support a unique biotope located around the old timber house at Zvonařka, for example, by constructing an experimental insect hotel placed on one of the adjacent trees.
On Sunday, the festival will host prominent Norwegian designer and professor from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design Birger Sevaldson. His presentation on the topic of Design for Democracy and Sustainability will be followed by a discussion addressing the relationship between ecology, democracy, and economics in a systemic context. To conclude the festival (Wed 13 September), performer Jan Bárta will entertain in a light-hearted manner after an evaluative lecture, alongside artists from the Lunchmeat group, who will prepare a special audio-visual projection.
Admission to all events is free. For Birger Sevaldson's lecture, we recommend prior reservation by email at marie.davidova@tul.cz.
