The cycle of Different Optics forms lecture evenings followed by discussions. The aim is to enrich our scene with the perspectives of significant representatives of world architecture, both theoretically and practically. The project is intended for a wide audience, both professional and lay.
For the year 2017, several innovative architects were selected, bringing a different perspective on architecture. A large amount of images and data in today's world, along with the inability to navigate through an abundance of information, also applies to the field of architecture. Finding a unique viewpoint that does not copy established patterns is precisely the curatorial mission of KRUH, which has been providing the best of Czech, European, and non-European architecture to the broad Czech public and professional audience for 15 years. After cycles on Female Architects, collaboration with the prestigious Swiss ETH, and French architecture, KRUH now presents a selection of different perspectives on architecture – distinctive, creative, and unique, regardless of the country of origin. Alongside the progressive Portuguese architect Inês Lobo, it also shows the Greek imaginative and even visionary perspective of architect and theorist Aristide Antonas. In addition to the individualistic optics of the German architect, there is a British view based on simplicity, friendliness, and pragmatism.
