In the winter semester of 2016, within the course 'Architect in Practice' designated for 2nd-year MSP students, a lecture series featuring Czech, Slovak, and foreign architects will take place at the Faculty of Architecture of VUT in Brno. On Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 5:00 PM, founding member of the studio Next Level Michal Kutálek will speak in room A118. The course is open to all interested parties at the faculty and the general public.
Michal Kutálek (*1979 Vyškov) uniquely straddles cultivated practice and bold visions, drawing on the good traditions of Jules Verne and Arthur C. Clarke. Michal Kutálek collaborated with multimedia artist Federico Díaz and worked in Eva Jiřičná's studio. After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture of ČVUT in Prague (2006), he founded his own practice next level studio in Uherské Hradiště (2008). He devoted his doctoral studies under arch. Florián at ČVUT to the topic of Robotization – automation in architecture. His work is infused with an interest in new materials, nanotechnology, and biotechnology.
