Žďár nad Sázavou - Craftsmen today began to remove scaffolding from the interior of the Church of St. John of Nepomuk on Zelená hora in Žďár nad Sázavou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors will be able to admire the restored Santini stucco decoration of the vault, destroyed by fire, from the beginning of the tourist season after more than 200 years. The commissioning committee, which met at the church this week, found no issues with the restoration work, said Libor Karásek, the director of the National Heritage Institute office in the Vysočina region, to ČTK today.
