Brno - In the Brno district of Tuřany, the second largest industrial zone in the country is set to be established in the coming years. The new park for investors in the southern part of the regional capital will cover an area of 300 hectares. This is more than the area in Nošovice in the Moravian-Silesian region, where the car manufacturer Hyundai intends to build its factory. This is reported by today's edition of Mladá fronta Dnes from South Moravia.

"The park will be partially located within the city of Brno and partially beyond its borders. Government materials indicate that 1.7 billion crowns will be allocated from the state budget for land acquisition," said Brno's Deputy Mayor Radomír Jonáš (ODS) to the newspaper. According to him, factories of the first companies could start being built in two to three years.
The city began considering the new zone after the Černovická terasa industrial park was filled. Since then, there have been no ready and serviced plots available in Brno for large investors.
A spokesperson for the government agency CzechInvest, which supports entrepreneurship, confirmed that there is significant interest in investing in South Moravia, particularly in Brno. Only more companies are directing their efforts to Ústí nad Labem. Other larger industrial zones in the South Moravian region are located in Modřice, Šlapanice, and Pohořelice, ensuring proximity to Brno, as well as in Hodonín and Vyškov.
