Lípa – The Memorial of National Literature is starting to invite the public to Reynek's castle in Petrkov near Havlíčkův Brod. The first in a series of meetings, Summer Petrkov, will be launched today three hours after noon. It will also feature an exhibition of drawings, poems, graphics, and photographs dedicated to Bohuslav Reynek, his wife Suzanne Renaud, and their sons Daniel and Jiří. This information was provided to ČTK by the head of the Petrkov center, Lucie Tučková.

The Memorial of National Literature took over the premises for its management on May 27. It plans to gradually create a Czech-French cultural center there. Representatives of the memorial will talk about the project in Petrkov today at 15:45. At 16:00, a concert by singer-songwriter Karel Vepřek featuring set-to-music poems of Bohuslav Reynek will begin. The afternoon program will conclude with a reading from the book Here Your Life by Suzanne Renaud. The premises, along with the garden, will be open until 19:00.

The castle, where the poet, graphic artist, and translator Bohuslav Reynek (1892 to 1971) lived and worked with his family, was recently purchased by the state. Public events will take place there this year until September, with the program being updated. Another meeting is scheduled for July 16.
