Brno - Brno will insulate the main building of the Trauma Hospital for 42 million crowns. This will include window replacements and roof reconstruction. It aims to provide greater comfort for patients and energy savings. This was stated by the mayor's deputy Petr Hladík (KDU-ČSL).
The building dates back to the 1970s. "It has stood as it was built since then. It is the main building where the inpatient department is located. The most important thing is to improve conditions for patients. The building will not only be insulated, but windows will also be replaced, and a complete roof reconstruction will take place," Hladík stated. Air conditioning will also be reconstructed in the building.
According to him, the city expects savings primarily on heating. In recent years, Brno has saved several million crowns thanks to energy measures at 33 organizations. In addition to insulation, it is equipping the buildings of its institutions with LED lighting and changing heating sources. This year it plans to implement measures at the remaining 11 organizations, with the Trauma Hospital among them.
Brno has received part of a grant for the insulation of the hospital. "The total costs amount to 41.96 million crowns, of which the estimated grant is 7.59 million crowns. The city's co-financing then amounts to 34.36 million crowns," stated the spokesperson of the Brno City Hall, Filip Poňuchálek.
