Panenské Břežany - Panorama Golf Resort in Kácov in the Kutnohorsko region has won the main award in the Building of the Year competition of the Central Bohemian Region 2017. The governor's award goes to the new gymnasium at Jan Palach High School in Mělník, with the best renovated heritage site being the upper castle and the Chapel of Saint Anne in Panenské Břežany near Prague. The results of the competition were announced there today.


According to the jury, the Panorama Golf Resort is remarkable for its scope and elaborate landscaping, excelling in the urban concept of the site and the architectural solution of the club building. "In the field of golf development, it can be ranked among the best European facilities," the organizers stated.

The expert jury also awarded other prizes. The prize for the best energy solution of a building went to Casa Serena - a new wellness building at Roztěž Castle in Kutnohorsko, while the best investment project according to the judges was the reconstruction of a high-rise building in Měšice near Prague. The award for the best building designated for public use was given to the municipal indoor pool in Mladá Boleslav.

The jury's special award for a building financed by the municipality goes to the restored Chapel of the Most Holy Redeemer in Radim near Kolín, and the special jury award for long-term development planning goes to the Elementary and Kindergarten School Juventa in Milovice in the Nymburk region.
