Rožnov pod Radhoštěm - The town hall in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm in the Vsetín region has once again announced a competition for the contractor of the cultural center construction. This was first done in the spring, but none of the three companies that applied were selected. None of the companies met the crucial requirement, which was the price. The city had the procurement documentation modified and announced the public contract again in November, spokesperson for the town hall Petra Graclíková said today to ČTK.
Construction companies can submit applications for the tender until December 3. The estimated cost of the new building, which the city has been preparing for several years, remains 203 million crowns including value-added tax. "We made the most of the summer months to analyze all options, which were then reflected in the adjustments to the procurement documentation. We have a confirmed grant for the passive standard of the building until 2022, so we still have enough time to select a suitable contractor again and construct the building within 1.5 years from the awarding," said Mayor Radim Holiš (ANO).
There are several changes in the procurement documentation. For example, there is an adjustment of the commercial terms regarding the advance payment and trial operation. "In terms of technical conditions, there is, for instance, the removal of kitchen equipment and the replacement of electric door openings with mechanical ones. Overall, the requirements for qualification prerequisites have been reduced,” said Graclíková.
The planned start of construction is in March next year. According to Dita Vávrová, head of the town hall's investment department, the city has sent a notice about the repeated announcement of the contract to all companies that actively participated in the previous round. "Every suggestion from their feedback was discussed with the design company as part of the adjustments to the procurement documentation, within the preparatory team and the city council. The public contract, however, is open to all interested parties," Vávrová stated.
The planned cultural center is to be a multi-storey building with a footprint of 52 by 40 meters. It will consist of a large hall, an internal atrium, and a small hall. The city has obtained a fifty-million-euro grant for the construction.
